Be fair in your reportage, CAN begs Journalists

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Taraba State chapter, has urged the Journalists to be objective, fairness and justice in their reportage for peaceful coexistence of the nation.

State Chairman of the association, Reverend John Ube made the plea when he received the new Executive Members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ, Taraba State Chapter on a courtesy visit in his office in Jalingo, the State Capital.

He said, NUJ is one of the Unions that the CAN is counting on in the state because of its power of disseminating information through various media outfits in both print and electronics, stressing that the new leadership of the CAN will work hand in hand with one another in the spirit of love and tolerance for the development of the Unions.

“I want you to maintain Professionalism in the course of carrying out your responsibility without compromise on anybody or party involved in issues, even though the country is not secured but I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ will be with you and protect you and we will do our best as Fathers to ensure your success.

“And I am also appealing to both Federal and State governments to improve your welfare to enable you the Press publicise their activities and serve the society better,” Ube said.
