CJN: Secondus knocks ruling party, says APC wants to destroy judiciary

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus, on Saturday berated the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over the current travails of Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onoghen.

The PDP Chief, in a statement signed by his Media aide, Ike Abonyi, and made available to journalists, alerted Nigerians and the International Community that the ruling is ready to destroy the Nigerian judiciary barely 30 days to general elections, in their alleged desperation to manipulate and thwart the will of Nigerians.

According to him, APC is afraid of an independent judiciary because of their alleged agenda to rig the election.

He insisted that Nigerians are ready and determined to throw APC away and no amount of threats and harassment will deter the people from effecting the inevitable change.

He was quoted to have said in the statement, “They want to kill Senator Dino Melaye, they want to kill the Senate President, they want to kill everybody; but they will fail because God is with Nigerians.

“You cannot rig this election. The will of the of the people must prevail, whether you like it or not. That is democracy,” Secondus warned INEC and security agencies.
