…No primary held in Kebbi – Ibrahim Mara
Fresh crisis has erupted in Kebbi as a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Ibrahim Mera has alerted that no primary took place in the state.
The State Coordinator Ibrahim Mera Campaign Organisation, Engineer Sale Yaro Ribah said there was no governorship primaries of the Apc in Kebbi state.
He said what happened last month at Birnin Kebbi stadium was a mere affirmation of the sitting Governor, Senator Atiku Bagudu, challenging the party to bring votes casted by delegates at the election venue.
Speaking further, Yaro said that Mera purchased governorship form and was duly screened by the National Headquarters and the committee.
He alleged his principal’s name was removed on the eve of the primaries.
He warned that if justice is not done on the exclusion of their candidate, the state ruling party stands the risk of loosing the entire state which by extension can affect President Muhammadu Buhari’s votes in the state.
He added that the body language of the President and the leadership of ruling party indicates that they don’t have interest in Kebbi.
Yaro stated that what Zamfara Governor said in a video showed that the National Headquarters is compromised, calling on the President and the National Chairman of the party to ensure justice by revisiting what happened in Kebbi state.
He said that President Buhari as a man of integrity should ensure justice to all manner of people, urging to extend same to kebbi to save his votes and that of the party.
