Florence Parly, the French Defense Minister, arrived in N’Djamena on October 8th for a two-day visit where she was scheduled to meet with President Idriss Déby and Chad’s minister of defense, Bichara Issa Djadallah, as well as address Barkhane’s French soldiers.

The aim of Parly’s visit is to continue discussions on the fight against terrorism and more specifically, the necessity of increasing power of G5 Sahel with its deputy commander, Chadian General Oumar Bikimo Jean.
