MUSWEN congratulates elected political leaders in S’West
The Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), on Thursday joined other Nigerians to congratulate political office holders in South West region of the country.
In a statement signed by the Executive Secretary/CEO of MUSWEN,
Professor Dawud O. S. Noibi, which was made available to journalists admonished newly elected leader to priotise development of the region.
“On behalf of all Muslims in the South West region of Nigeria, MUSWEN congratulates all the newly elected political leaders in the region on their victory at the last gubernatorial and state assembly elections and for securing the trust and mandate of the people to provide good governance in their respective States,” he said.
The Muslim group specifically hailed Engr Seyi Makinde, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Governors-elect of Oyo, Lagos and Ogun States respectively as well as their deputies, namely: Engr Rauf Olaniyan, Dr Hamzat Kadri and Engr (Mrs) Noimot Salako-Oyedele.
It, however prayed that Allah grants the new political leaders uncommon wisdom, courage, heartfelt compassion and, above all, a deep sense of accountability to Allah with which to lead their respective States and the region to greater heights in the next four years.
