NDLEA uncovers, seizes cannabis farmland in Kebbi

In a major crackdown on drugs dealers, consumers and suppliers, the Kebbi State National drugs Law Enforcement Agency has said that it has uncovered and seized a cannabis farmland at kukun village in fakai local government area of kebbi state.

Speaking to newsmen in his office at Birnin Kebbi, the state Commander, Jadi Sulaiman stated that the command acted on the report of their intelligence unit who quickly mobilised to the scene and  arrested the suspect who is now in custody.

The suspect Arage Rikici also known as (Boka) already planted cannabis savita in a big farmland waiting for the illicit plant to grow and be cultivated to be sold to his potential customers.

Jadi lamented that while the state is engaged in mass rice production some unscrupulous elements are trying to shift farmers attention to cannabis farming because it brings fast money, he warned that the state command will not fold its arms and allow unpatriotic elements to hold the state to ransom in drug peddling and consumption.

In a similar operations the state command also busted a tramadol warehouse at yauri local government and apprehended the suspects,the command called on members of the public to furnish them with useful information that will assist the command’s crackdown on drugs dealers and consumers.
