Osun poll: ‘No court gave restraining order against PDP candidate’
The Director-General of Ademola Adeleke Campaign Organisation, Akogun Lere Oyewumi has dismissed a rumour being peddled around that a court sitting in Abuja has retrained People’s Democratic Party candidate, Ademola Adeleke from participating in September 22 governorship election holding in Osun State.
Oyewumi, who described the purported news as ‘fake’ noted that the PDP candidate has been declared fit and qualified to run for the governorship election by competent courts of records, adding that the campaign organisation “will not bother by the desperate but ill-fated pursuit of his traducers.”
“We wish to state categorically that the purported order was never given by any court against our candidate. The falsehood is being perpetrated by handlers of the APC media team who are apparently feeling the heat of Senator Adeleke’s unstoppable march to victory in the forthcoming elections,” Oyewumi said in a statement he personally signed and made available to SAHEL STANDARD.
He, however, added that Adeleke Campaign Organisation wishes to enjoin millions of its supporters to continue to keep faith with the PDP as we intensify campaigns ahead of the September 22nd election.
“Surely, Osun will be liberated from the misrule of these mischief makers whose expiry date is imminent!”
