Ouagadougou hosts fifth rebranding Africa forum

Over 500 participants gathered in Ouagadougou on October 5-6, 2018 for the fifth Rebranding Africa Forum (RAF), the first to be held in an African nation with the previous four being held in Brussels.

The focus of this year’s forum was green economy, which encompassed topics ranging from the drawbacks and rewards of green economy to the current state of affairs in broader Africa.

The Minister of Economy and Finance for Burkina Faso was in attendance to discuss the lack of rainfall and its effect on overall crop production and GDP, which she projects will continue to decline if innovative and immediate measures are not taken to safeguard both crops and economies.
